The core of each Las Olas surf safari rests on the thoughtful choices made by our crew since our maiden safari in 1997. Our goal to please and astonish every guest arriving at the seaside storybook villas has informed each choice we've made building Las Olas. Every detail is taken into consideration, with special attention paid to beauty, authenticity, and comfort.

To Make Your Safari Reservation
1. Check current availability and request a 24-hour courtesy hold by calling 831-625-5748 or emailing to info@surflasolas.com. Availability is not guaranteed without a courtesy hold confirmation.

2. Download a Reservation Form, click here. A PDF version of our registration form will download to your computer for printing. If you can not download forms, call to request to have forms faxed or mailed to you. 3. Fill out both forms completely and fax back to 831-625-4267. Reservations may also be made over the phone, then mail your forms to Las Olas, Post Office Box 4669, Carmel-by-the-Sea, California 93921 USA. 4. A Reservation Confirmation will be emailed to you. Reservations require payment at the time the reservation is made. Visa, Mastercard, Amex and checks are accepted.

Villa Details
All villas are nestled on a tropical hillside tumbling down to the ocean's edge. Each space is its own work of art, individually designed and built by local craftsmen and artisans to blend smoothly with the environment while offering wide views of the surf break and big blue sea. All accommodations have electricity, a bathroom, kitchen or kitchenette, daily maid service, front-desk staff at your service, and resident geckos.

Shared room in Deluxe Enclosed four-person Villas. Solo guests and groups less than four will be matched with villamates. Enclosed villas are generally one flight up and comparable to a two bedroom house a la Mexicana. Villas includes a living room, kitchen, bathroom and terrace complete with patio furniture for enjoying your relaxing ocean view. Glass doors let in plenty of natural light or swing them open for ocean breezes. Enclosed villas are perfect if you prefer indoor living space or choose to close your doors at night. Each bedroom has two twin beds.

Shared room in Premium Open Air four-person Villas. Solo guests booking a shared room will be matched with a roommate. Open air villas are what Las Olas surf safaris are all about- Expansive outdoor living space, large sunny terrace, and ocean views from almost every part of the villa, even the kitchen. Each bedroom and bathroom is enclosed, but swing open your door to let in the ocean breeze each evening. At least two flights up, open air villas command the horizon while natural elements such as bougainvillea, ferns, and hibiscus give the villa its tree house feel. Each villa has one bathroom and two shared rooms, each bedroom has two twin beds.

Private Room in Deluxe Open Air two-person Villa. Solo guests will be matched with a villamate. One flight up, this two-person villa has a large terrace with plenty of outdoor living space, an ocean view, a kitchenette and plenty of natural foliage. The two Private bedrooms are enclosed and each have a full size bed for a solo guest. Bedroom doors can be left open at night for cool ocean breezes. Although the two guests will share the villa's enclosed bathroom, its design provides plenty of privacy.

Shared Rooms
Shared rooms have two twin beds for two guests, so you'll have one roommate and a total of three villamates. Many Las Olas guests are solo travelers and enjoy sharing their villa with others, so if your party does not fill a villa, we will match you up with villamates. And in the end, our guests consider their new friendships one of the best experiences of their safari.

Private Rooms
Private bedrooms are in a two bedroom villa, so guests will share their villa with one other guest. Each private bedroom has a full size bed for one guest.

Cancellations
Las Olas has not canceled a safari for any reason since our first trip in 1997. Should you need to cancel or postpone a safari, fees do apply, so please read our cancellation policy . We strongly recommend travel cancellation insurance for unexpected changes in your plans. Please contact us for a list of insurers.

Requirements to join:
• All safaris are open to solo travelers, pairs of friends, small groups, and guests of all levels of surf experience.
• Prior surf experience is not needed (most guests are beginners).
• Guests must be competent swimmers, in good health and physical condition, and free of injuries.
• Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult and must be 14 years of age to surf. Minors may require special documentation to leave the country. Please check with your airline.
• There is no maximum age limit. Don't forget our motto ~ "We make girls out of women."
• To enter and return from Mexico, guests need a valid passport with at least six months remaining before expiration. All guests are responsible for proof of citizenship documents.
• All Las Olas guests must read and agree to the terms of Las Olas' Release of Liability and Assumption of All Risks form prior to registering for a safari or booking travel arrangements. The Release Form is included with the Registration Form via download from our website, or we will gladly fax, mail, or email a copy.

Mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, and grandmothers welcome
Small groups of female family members are welcome at any of our safaris. For teens and Moms, our March, April, and June safaris are most likely to coordinate with school vacation schedules.

In years past, we've hosted three generations of surfer girls, ages 14 - 72. All safaris feature our complete Surf Safari program and activities designed to appeal to women of all ages and abilities. Although surfing can be a rewarding experience for women of any age, guests are not required to surf. You may enjoy many other activities like yoga, swimming, relaxing on the beach, or experiencing the magic of Mexico.

Safari Cancellations

Definitions
"Cancellation" is defined as not attending your scheduled Manifesta safari, including postponing or rescheduling. "You" refers to the guest booking a Manifesta safari. "We" refers to Manifesta Corp. It is your responsibility to read and understand our cancellation policy before making a reservation. Naturally, no one books with the intention of canceling or postponing their safari, but unexpected things do happen, so please consider purchasing travel cancellation insurance.

Travel Cancellation Insurance
Depending on the policy and conditions, travel cancellation insurance will pay for some or all cancellation fees. With most agencies, insurance must be purchased within 14 days of making your reservation. We strongly recommend purchasing cancellation insurance through your travel agent, or visit the following website to compare insurers: InsureMyTrip.com.

Guest Cancellation Policy
Manifesta does not offer cash/check or credit card refunds for any reason. A portion of your payment may be used as credit for another safari within two years of your original safari date. We will gladly transfer your credit to another guest and/or Manifesta safari.
Depending on when you cancel, cancellation fees may apply. Fees are determined by the following schedule:
~ If you cancel more than 90 days before your safari start date, 100% of your payment may be applied to another Manifesta safari.
~ If you cancel 60 - 89 days before your safari start date, 70% of your payment may be applied to another Manifesta safari. You will forfeit 30% of the price of your safari.
~ If you cancel 15 - 59 days before your safari start date, 40% of your payment may be applied to another Manifesta safari. You will forfeit 60% of the price of your safari.
~ If you cancel 14 days or less before your safari start date, you will forfeit your entire payment.

Exceptions to our policy cannot be made for any reason, including weather, injury, or personal emergencies. We do not offer credit for arriving late or leaving early. You must submit your signed Reservation Form and Participant Agreement, Release of Assumption of All Risks Form within one week of booking or 90 days prior to safari start date, whichever comes first. Guests who fail to do so, may be subject to an automatic cancellation and the above policy will apply.

Manifesta Safari Cancellation Policy
If Manifesta must cancel or change a scheduled safari date for any reason, you may transfer your full safari payment to another safari, or you may request a refund of your payments to us, constituting a full settlement. Manifesta is not responsible for your expenses incurred in preparation for any canceled safari, such as airline tickets, loss of work, and/or other costs associated with preparing for your trip.
