The New Wave

by Bev Sanders on August 19, 2015

I can’t imagine not having the opportunity to enjoy sports, to experience the outdoors, and just play. It’s formed who I am.

I believe all girls have vast potential inside and it blossoms and flourishes when nurtured through outdoor activity and community. That’s why we’re partnering with the Watergirl Fund and Girls Inc. to provide free surf lessons to young girls who may not otherwise experience the stoke and sisterhood of surfing. We know the inner strength and peace that comes from our connection with the ocean and we want to share it with the next generation of empowered surfer girls.

This month, Las Olas will be offering a complete surf safari vacation in silent auction to help raise money for Watergirl Fund and Girls Inc. If you’re in Santa Barbara at the end of August, don’t miss it!

Event Details
Sunday, August 30th 5-9pm
Casa De Las Guerra, 15 East De la Guerra Street, Santa Barbara, CA, (half a block off State Street)
Silent auction tickets $40 in advance / $50 at the door, includes raffle, music, food, dessert, ocean-themed marketplace, beer and wine.

If you’d like to attend the iSurf Block Party and bid on a Las Olas surf safari, or just join us in making a donation, follow the link here.

At Las Olas, we’ve seen first hand how the joy of surfing inspires grown women. The energy returns home and can change her world. Now, imagine what it can do for a young girl.

See you in the waves,
bev
