Lots of Love to Share

by Bev Sanders on February 11, 2015

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, we’re excited to share some brand new adventures we think you’ll love.

Mas Olas

A whole generation of women have come of age since we first started in 1997 and they’re looking for ways to improve their surfing skills. Our goal is to join them on their journey by offering a thoughtfully designed course with personalized instruction tailored to each student’s specific goals.

Beginning February 2015, Mas Olas (More Waves), makes its official debut- our customized curriculum for our returning guests and advanced surfers.

The maiden safari will be lead by surf coach Amanda, an avid surfer from the California Central Coast with strong roots in hospitality. Her enthusiasm for teaching and connecting with students brings us rave reviews, so we’re excited to begin a new chapter in the Las Olas history book!

It’s Your Wave

If there’s one thing I’ve noticed over the years, it’s that the biggest barrier to surfing success is often fear and self-doubt. Cultivating a quiet mind along with a healthy dose of encouragement not only helps overcome these obstacles, but also allows us to focus, advance, and surf with more confidence.

March 2015, we’re launching It’s Your Wave, a surf-centric workshop focusing on positive mental reinforcement and personal development.

It’s Your Wave will be lead by certified life coach and marathon trainer, Deseri Garcia. Des is the founder of Vida Aventura and she has the perfect slogan: Within each of us lies the strength, confidence and ability for greatness. Sometimes all it takes is that extra push.

At La Casita, the open-air Las Olas clubhouse, she’ll be teaching mindfulness techniques and individualized support for Las Olas surfers. Our surf coaches will also be on hand to answer wave-related questions.

It’s Your Wave is also packed with great takeaways, offering surf and ocean inspired wisdoms to get you gliding across the wave long after your vacation is over. So if you’ve been sitting on the bench (or the beach) just waiting for a green light, now is the time to go surfing.

Again and again, I hear stories of how the Las Olas experience spills into the rest of our lives, allowing us to return home and have profoundly positive effects on our families and communities. Helping women apply the lessons learned in the ocean is an important part of our never ending mission.

And last, but not least- Everybody into the pool!

Las Olas Pool & Yoga Center

We’re delighted to show off the addition of the stunning new yoga center and swimming pool at Las Olas! (Yes, you can perfect your cannonballs, but that’s for recess!)

See you in the waves,
Bev
